You cannot replicate a single database or table inside of a PostgreSQL cluster using 9.0 replication, you *must* replicate everything. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There&amp;#39;s still going to be a place for trigger-based replication for Postgres for some time into the future. I find it&amp;#39;s easier to manage and easier to keep running than Slony, and its feature set includes many things Slony can&amp;#39;t do. For that matter, it also includes things replication in PostgreSQL 9.0 can&amp;#39;t do.
